FAQ

What is your cancellation policy?

Kindly note I require 24 hours minimum notice if you need to cancel your appointment, otherwise you will be charged a late cancellation fee.

Any missed appointments will be charged the full treatment price.

How many sessions will I need?

This is very much based on the individual’s needs.

For acute conditions a few sessions can be enough, yet for more chronic conditions it is best to commit to regular treatments on a longer term basis.

Does Acupuncture hurt?

Acupuncture is not usually painful. You may feel a sensation when the needles are inserted as they meet with the Qi but this sensation eases off quickly.

The needles used in treatment are super fine and often barely felt.

How will I feel after treatment?

You may feel relaxed and calm after treatment.

Sometimes particular painful conditions can feel worse before feeling better but with a great improvement to follow.

What should I wear?

Loose and comfortable clothing – e.g. trousers that can easily roll up past the knee.

Should I do anything before my appointment?

It’s a good idea to have eaten something before treatment and avoid coffee just before.

Most health insurance providers cover acupuncture treatment. As a member of the Association of Acupuncture Clinicians, please reference this when submitting your claim and ask me to provide a receipt .
